Annual Flight Review - Club Checkout

The Flying Club of Kansas City does not have checkrides.

But we do require that each member review  his or her  flying skills annually with a Club Flight Instructor.  Here is how you can make the most efficient use of your time on your annual review

REVIEW THE FLYING CLUB OPERATIONS MANUAL, "INITIAL AIRCRAFT CHECKOUTS - ANNUAL REVIEW FLIGHTS"

The flight review will be conducted in the most complex aircraft you wish to fly. (To see what your flight experience qualifies you to fly, check the club operations manual).  For new members, you will need a checkout in each aircraft you wish to fly.

Fill out the top portion of the
Flight Review Checklist

Fill out the
aircraft questionaire for the ALL aircraft you currently fly.  For new members, fill out only the questionaire for the aircraft you will be using for your initial checkout

Fill out the
Local Area Procedures questionaire.

These are both open-book exams.  Be prepared to discuss any items that you are uncertain of with your instructor.

In addition, fill out and bring the following forms:
